This isn't a low pass. This is recovery from a dangerously low loop. I'm sure he was pulling seat cushions when he properly landed.

This got me to thinking about airshows when I was a kid. Jim Franklin's Flying circus used to do an act in a Waco where he flew inverted and picked up a ribbon between two coke bottles.

At our airport he did it with two people holding it because the crowd couldn't see it between the bottles:



We had a lot of acts in the 70/80's including Corkey Fornof's BD jets and the Silver Eagles Army Helicopter demo team (they were awesome). But the Franklin's were the best and the craziest. I read where Jim died in a midair with his partner and then their kids got married. They just had an accident and she's badly burned.
