Minor in business unless you plan on becoming a teacher.

Heed these words. You will have a $50,000 degree and a $25,000 dollar per year job. Working just to pay off school debt.

This has been a public service announcement.

Great school. Just up the road from me. They also have a great teaching program there.

What other colleges did you apply to? It's always good to have a plan B.

I went to CSULB back in the day. Big classes in the general ed. Lots of people(girls) to meet. Study hard, play harder. Good luck.

One thing I did learn along the way regarding time management for studying. On a calender, I entered the due dates for each assignment/test/performance/paper/etc. for the semester and then worked backwards and entered the start dates for reading/studying/preparing/researching for the same. That way I would always know if I was on schedule for not.

The CSLB campus is right next to the Veteran's Hospital of Long Beach on 7th St. If you get accepted at Calstate you'll really like the campus..serene and green!.. Good public transportation all around there too.

You honestly think you can get a degree living "just up the road" from Maki?!?!?!?!?

I hear they took away Jong's degree just for sleeping on his couch for a few days.

Actually, I think they handed him an obligatory masters degree just for surviving relatively intact.

I'll be applying to San Jose state in a few days (when I don't have so much homework, apps take a few hours to fill out).

then I'll probably apply to University of Hartford.

I could apply there, but I'd like a little change in scenery, ya know? It's only about 10 miles east of where I live...

Have you come out to CT to visit Uha? I live like 20 minutes away from the school. They do have a pretty impressive music program, but the campus isn't much to look at. It's nestled away between the border of West Hartford (rich, upscale town) and Hartford (extremely impoverished city). If/when you visit, be careful going through Hartford--and stay the hell out of the North End unless you want to get shot at. Oh, also, we get something called "snow" in CT, and it gets cold. Very cold. Just some things to consider. That and you'll find that New England attitudes and culture are very, very different from West Coast.
