Hey Milwaukeeans - what to do on New Year's Eve this year?

Here's your chance for shameless self promo. I will be back in my lovely hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin Christmas Day through January 4 and my friends and I will be looking for something to do on New Year's. Preferably with good live music. Original music (rock/pop) preferred. Not so much into metal or country. What's goin' on?

In the late 60's I use to play a place called the Attic in Milwaukee. It was a great room, I always enjoyed playing there. Tim, I was in Omaha for the first time earlier this year and do say that I was impressed with the live music scene there.

I like your avatar Tim. The Offspring played at Inland Invasion in 2002 and Dexter wore that very t-shirt on stage. Had I not been worn out from fighting off massive hordes of people during Pennywise's set I would have laughed then, but since I was only semi-conscious at the time I will do so now, HA.

Yo, finally some fellow Milwaukeeans! There's always a lot of stuff going on at the pabst/riverside, so you should check out their webiste. I know CAKE is playing, but tickets are gonna be very hard to get and expensive.

Hope I helped

Thanks for the responses, guys. Yeah the Omaha music scene is pretty good, compared to other cities, especially of similar size. But lately I've been a bit fed up and jaded by it. Probably because I am pushing 30 and music dreams are rapidly being taken over by other responsibilities. As for Milwaukee, we were maybe thinking of Lakefront Brewery, not sure yet.

No idea...

I always would hit the Unicorn show, but that's long gone...

At some point I turned all old and stuff and didn't like the idea of going out or playing on New Years Eve...

I'm not playing for a while and I haven't been keeping up with any friends that might be...

Hey Golden Boy, I actually saw Koala once at Point's East Pub a few years ago. I remember commenting to my girlfriend "That guy has a G&L L2000...."

Ha!!!

I don't think Koala played too many shows at Points East... Was that on the same bill with the Nerve Twins?

Strangest Places. I don't know who else. I knew/know a couple of the Strangest Places guys. Not sure if they're even still together.
