Quit making your music and sound effects twice as loud as the dialogue ya jerks. My TV's on 30 during the music and 60 when people are talking.

Have one for the DVD player, but not with Netflix through the Xbox. Movies are trying to make me buy a new one. Movies are trying to get me.

I find that, in general, movies are mixed very poorly.

hehe, tell me about it. I had the bug about a year a half ago. Originally looking to spend about $500.00 on speakers. Let's just say I went over budget.

Anyway, if you have cox cable. Look in the menu for some audio settings. There should be a "dynamics" setting. Putting it on narrow may help.

Netflix only streams in stereo. If you can plug the Xbox into your S.S. system and use one of the Dolby Pro Logic settings it will help too.

I'm watching Knowing, tonight. The walls will be vibrating a little in the O-Funk house.

This.

Music should be background to add feeling IMHO.

Gunshots? THOSE should be done so that it feels like ACTUALLY getting hit in the chest with a shotgun, even if the gun onscreen is something like a PPK

j/k

The gun sounds were done nicely in Public Enemies tho, IMHO.

Some commercials on TV can get really loud compared to the program I am watching too.

Especially on FX! I've quit watching several shows on that channel simply because I don't want to have to babysit the volume buttons.

Im pretty sure I read somewhere that commercials have incredible amounts of compression applied to them. They just seem louder.
