Very funny stuff. Anything "hipster" cracks me up. Playing for three letter trophies is a great visual.

Way back when (...a few years ago) when I was really into metal, I found that the other metalheads were some of the biggest hipsters I'd ever seen.
"Hey, check out the new Satanic Warmaster live LP. Only 200 were released, and the quality is so bootleg, but it's authentic, and did I mention it was played to a crowd of 100, and that only 200 were released....AND THAT IT WAS VINYL?!"
"Pfft, frig that band, they're to mainstream. Their first two albums before they were big were awesome." <- true story
But wait...That's often true...Does that make me a Hipster?!!!
It is true, though. Dad's are the original hipsters. My dad was wearing his big ass beard and later his mustache before they were born. He was a Southern Comfort, bass playing, professional musician, mustaching, jean jacket wearing kinda guy. |

For the most part they don't bother me though, most of they are usually pretty nice. |

Where do these people reside? Is Los Angeles just too mainstream? Because I never see people dressing that bad in real life...

Like I said yesterday, you have 2 (loose) groups of hipsters:
Group 1:
Fashion-
Regular/Baggy Jeans, baggy shorts (worn with black socks), white V neck t-shirts, ugly puke green Kurt Cobain sweaters, thick framed glasses
Music-
REM (early-mid 80s era), Flaming Lips, Dreams So Real, The Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth
Mode of transport-
Skateboard, mountain bike
Brew of choice-
Imports, but will go for a Miller or Bud if necesary
Group 2-
Fashion-
Cut off jean shorts, trucker hats, nose rings, mustaches, Oasis haircut, skinny jeans, man purse
Music-
Mostly stuff that NO ONE but them has ever heard of... so I can't list any of them... bc Im not a hipster
Mode of transport-
Fixed Gear bike, 10 speed
Bre of choice-
PBR or High Life... never a Bud or Miller... maybe a Coors |
