Exclamation Hmm...whats this now?

Sign in to disble this ad
Since logging on this morning, I noticed every time I read a post, when I go back, the page does not. If I hold the back button for a second, I see "Webcam bait|| webcam sites and girls" or "free pictures" or other such silliness. The page does not load anything, but to go back to the previous page, I have to skip that. I'm using IE9, and this is the only site it happens on. Anyone else seeing this? I sent a report to customer service in that thread.

Sounds more like malware on your machine than anything.

Government glitches. They are monitoring TB for extremist propaganda. All internet traffic is passing through an XP Home machine on the desk of some Department of Homeland Security intern. He's keeping track of it all to help make the USA safe.

If you had more viscosity on your home computer, you could probably improve performance a little bit.

I'll look into that, but as I said, this is the only site I get that at, so far no other site I visit gets the issue.

I'm getting something similar, when I click on the back button nothing happens. If I click three or four times fast, it moves

Well, I ran Malwarebytes, and it came up with 1 infection. Cleaned it, rebooted, and came back here. Guess what? Still there. I have avgfree running at all times, and nothing showed up there. I have ccleaner here somwhere.

Screen shot.
Only seems to be between the current page and the last page. Odd.

So that list is your browsing history... either you're visiting that site, or have malware that's inserting it into your history.

Clear all browser data (history, downloads, cache, etc) and see what happens?

I'm having a problem also. As soon as i open a topic it jumps to the bottom of the page. It seems to be happening only here, though

Because when you click a topic it jumps to the last unread post.

Gotta be something here. I just went to just about every site in my favorites list, and could go back to the previous page without a problem, and no webcam bait link. As soon as I get here, pop, there it is, right under the current page.
I did clear the cache, history, etc. Might be one of those fun windows/IE things.
It doesn't really bug me too much, I just click and hold the back button, and jump over it, I just wanted to see if it was just me, or a site/browser problem. I could install chrome, safari, firefox, et al, but if it's only happening at one site, why bother.

Make sure that some malware didn't change your internet proxy. Happened on my wife's computer. It was redirecting all of her google searches so that the top results were all ad sites, probably trying to make money on clicks or page visits. Tools - Internet Options - Connections - LAN Settings - Proxy Server.

I have the same issue with TB currently - when I open a page on the site (almost any page) the browser dives to the very bottom of the page when it opens. Weird. Not happening anywhere else, and it's nothing to do with going to the last unread post.
