We have a taqueria here in my little town of 660 people that was originally built into a muffler shop. The muffler shop went outta business a few years ago, but El Rinconcito lives on with a few tables now added to the original closet-sized space. Absolutely killer chicken mole burritos, and great tamales too when they can manage to save a few for the restaurant instead of filling all the pre-orders they get.

Buntyn's in Memphis,Tennessee. Lunch only.
Haven't been there in a few years but it's the best "meat & 3's"restaurant in the South .
Hope it's still around.

There is this great little Thai food place in London, Ontario called "Than Keiw" that makes the best pad thai that I have ever had.

There's this little Thai restaurant down the street, sandwiched between an Office Depot and a mom-n-pop computer shop. I took my Thai girlfriend there a couple weeks ago. She was impressed. It's good stuff!

The Mountaineer, right here in Parkersburg, WV. Decent food, good prices, open 24 hrs, really friendly staff. I love it.

Good burgers. Nationwide Freezer Meats and Willies on Broadway are good too. Fords is overpriced but good.

Also in Sac, the greatest breakfast burritos are found at Oscar's "Very" Mexican Food across the street from McClatchy.

The best taquerias I've ever eaten at were all built into the side of gas stations in northern California. I'll take 4 $1 carne asada tacos and a large horchata please.

There are too many to mention in San Francisco, but I used to scare visiting friends by bringing them to a Vietnamese joint named Tu Lan around Market and 6th/7th. You had to step over junkies to get into the place and it's caked in oil and grease. I went upstairs to use the bathroom and actually saw two women hacking at frozen sides of beef with meat cleavers on a SHAG CARPET. But the food is AWESOME!

Carl's on Manchester Road, in St. Louis. One of the best burgers around. Tiny place. Has about 14 or so stools around the counter. Almost no parking. You have to get there early, or forget it - you won't get a seat.

Here in Lakeland, we have EVERY chain restaurant in the world and we avoid them. The service is usually horrible. They people that work their seem like they are being forced to work and the food iffy to say the least. The only chain resturant we eat at is Hooters and Wing House but that's not very often.

We also have quite a few really good, well established family owned places to eat. That's were we go. We eat out about 5 nights per week, I eat lunch out every day and we are really picky about where we go.

J-V Restaurant in Falls Church Virginia. In business 57 years, daughter of the original owners is in charge. Not only good food, but live music every night of the week (I'm booked there 5 times this year.)

One of the last of its kind in Northern VA.
