This year we are doing things a but differently. No turkey, just pork spare ribs tomorrow. We may make some veggies but probably just fries... It's gonna be pretty nice. I picked up all of my dry rub ingredients from the middle eastern store in the farmers market and I'm ready to rock!

Lasagna, just like every Christmas. I have no idea how the tradition started, but I love it

In Lithuanian culture its tradition to place more emphasis on xmas eve dinner, in which a traditional meal of 12 cold dishes are served. I wouldnt be surprised if my grandma figures out 12 different ways to prepair herring this year. I think im gona bring a white castle crave case for the people who arent crazy about the traditional foods.

family's coming to my place, and we split up food prep duties. my mom's bringing a ham and 2 kinds of soup, i'm doing a chili con queso dip with crackers, garlic chedder biscuits, and whatever veggies my gf wants me to make, and my brother's bringing drinks and dessert...''chocolate balls of doom''(with a special batch of peanut butter balls for me). should be a rather interesting mix of food.

Christmas done right!
I’m going to get up at about 7 am and pop open a bottle of French chardonnay I’ll take my time and should finish up right around noon.
Then I’ll do a couple shots of cheap bourbon and go for a walk arriving home just around 1:30 pm. At which time I will have a fine ale and then take a nap.
In the evening I will be joined by two very close friends in an abandoned warehouse to indulge in a bottle of cheap Russian vodka.
That is all,
Samantha.

We're doing brunch instead - some kind of eggs, bacon, sausages, homemade waffles, assorted fruit, coffee / tea / juice, etc. etc.

Probably just have the leftovers for dinner!

Update: I picked up a load of Iberico ham, lamb sausage, champagne and simply orange with mango for breakfast. Home made coffee stout to finish while unwrapping gifts, a 28 pack of Sam Adams to round out the rest of the day... Christmas with the Griswolds, naps, minor alcoholism, and going way over my daily caloric intake. Awesome.

We've got an assortment of artichokes, paella, rice and beans, chicken and rice, sushi, all sorts of vegetables, a nice ham, and to accent it all we have pina coladas, about 4 different types of Sierra Nevada brewskis, and a slew of various wines.

Dungeness crab, always on special at our local grocery just before Christmas -- $3.99/lb. this year. This just might end up as the Christmas Eve meal though...

Shrimp Phad Thai. Rum & cider drinks.
