Homeless Guy With a Great Speaking Voice.

Anyone see this?

http://www.dispatch.com/live/content...ice-092457.xml

There's a homeless guy who hangs out by the freeway in Columbus, OH named Ted, who was once an aspiring radio announcer until he made some bad choices.

Hopefully, he straightens his life out and gets a chance somewhere. He's got a great radio voice.

Man that's pretty sad... I really and sincerely hope that he gets back on his feet and gets somewhere, he certainly has the talent. He seems like a very sincere and "real" guy.

I just saw that (link to it from donewaiting.com).

It would be way cool if he was able to make something out of this.

That used to be the exit I'd take off I-71 when I lived in C-bus. Never saw anybody with a voice like that, though!

Seems like a very decent fella, great voice, I liked the 'radio is defined theatre of mind,' I feel he'll be O.K. : )

I saw this on Reddit. It appears that there have already been some generous donations and work offers made available for him.

He seems like a really sincere guy. I hope things work out for him.

He deserves a gig on merit alone.

Then there's his potential value as an inspiration to others who are struggling on the comeback trail.

I'd bet there's a book or a made-for-TV movie in this guy too.

Update:

It looks as though the Cleveland Cavaliers have offered him a job and a place to live.

Makes you realize what a great thing the internet can be some times.

This is one of those stories that makes you feel pretty confident that just sometimes, great things can happen to those who really need it. Totally cool.

Wouldn't just be the kicker to this whole story if "Mr. Clean for two years" fails his drug test for the job? People would cry outrage at that point and still expect this guy to get special treatment. Not trying to bring the story down but for some reason I have a gut feeling. If he truly changed his life for the better then this is a great story.

Yeah I heard that too. I wasn't able to determine if it was a scam or not. Was it or was Stern just talking about how it would be a great marketing scam?
