Lot's of y'all drive Honda's, so check this out if you haven't heard. I found the story on my Comcast homepage...

Honda recalls 440,000 cars for airbag risk.

No gloating or bashing of Honda on my part. Just sayin....

Honda said that the airbag inflators in some of its top-selling sedans can rupture because of too much air pressure causing metal fragments to shoot through the airbag and strike vehicle occupants.

One fatality and a number of injuries have been linked to the defect, Honda spokesman Sage Marie said.

I don't own a Honda, but good job on the heads up. I know a lot of second hand owners don't always get the recall notices.

That's unexpected.

If an airbag went off in a Fit it would flip over.

That was what I was thinking too. I still get recall notifications on the Dodge Durango that we sold two years ago, so I wonder if the new owner gets them. Probably not.

I think it depends on whom it was bought from.
If it was a certified car/truck bought from a dealer, Dodge in your case, more than likely you will. Bought from a privet party, most likely not.

You may even want to check on the manufactures website. Some brands will have a section where you can register your information and VIN. You can also have a local dealer run the VIN for any open recalls or bulletins.

It just proves that no car brand is immune from recalls!

This headline is like reading a "Virus destroys thousands of Mac's" headline. Your first response is "no way".
