They are horny, students are admiring, and they figure they can get away with getting some. As a man who was once a young teacher, I can attest that some cute girls are available if you are so inclined. Fear, and the fact that I had gear to pay for kept me from doing anything stupid when I was young and could get action most easily.
Seriously, I also think that sleeping with students is something only serves to undermine a teacher's authority, especially when the students are even the legal age for consent!
