I am a big fan of martial arts and martial arts film and there are loads that I want to watch - Once upon a time in China, Kung fu hustle, Iron monkey etc. etc. But my g/f won't watch them, and she complains if I watch films by my self.
What can I do?

my wife doesn't care for them either. if one comes on or i feel like watching one, she'll find something else to do that she likes.

You can ask her to give it a chance and be a little more open minded, but my guess is that will be met with resistance and ultimately fail in which case you could
A) Tune her out when she is complaining.
B) Compromise and agree to watch her girly chick flicks (leave your man card at the door).
C) Dump her for a girl who is equally fond of Kung Fu movies as you (chances are she would be way cooler than your current gf). |

sounds like the problem isn't martial arts movies.

I remember seeing Iron Monkey, Kung Fu Hustle, Kung Pow, and a handful of other movies like that when I was 11-14 yrs old in theaters with my friends and within 10 minutes I`d be trying to get us to leave to get our money back because of how bad they were (again, IMHO). |
