How did you come to know you are either a "Good" or "Bad" Person ? For me it was years of reflecting on my conscience and being honest with myself about my ethical inclinations.

So I'm a good-looking bad person.

Next, I rolled a 12 sided die that I jacked from a small child. I added the resulting number of dots, gave the die back to him, counted how many minutes it took for him to stop crying and added those two numbers to the child's approximate age. I took this final value and plotted it on the aforementioned circle.
I then drew the secant line through the curve using these two final numbers as intersecting points. After deriving the length of that line, I then pretended to play that number on the Power Ball and lost.
The result? I'm not a gambler, so I must be good.

And by realizing through trial & error, as well as by experience, that following a path of personal righteousness brings a tranquility, peace of mind, and a deep spiritual satisfaction that far transcends any sacrifice necessary in order to achieve it.

I am shallow, selfish and morally bankrupt, but it's more than that.
I have done untold heinous deeds. Quote:
Ay, that I had not done a thousand more.
Even now I curse the day--and yet, I think,
Few come within the compass of my curse,--
Wherein I did not some notorious ill,
As kill a man, or else devise his death,
Ravish a maid, or plot the way to do it,
Accuse some innocent and forswear myself,
Set deadly enmity between two friends,
Make poor men's cattle break their necks;
Set fire on barns and hay-stacks in the night,
And bid the owners quench them with their tears.
Oft have I digg'd up dead men from their graves,
And set them upright at their dear friends' doors,
Even when their sorrows almost were forgot;
And on their skins, as on the bark of trees,
Have with my knife carved in Roman letters,
'Let not your sorrow die, though I am dead.'
Tut, I have done a thousand dreadful things
As willingly as one would kill a fly,
And nothing grieves me heartily indeed
But that I cannot do ten thousand more.

If not, why not fill one's life with material things and debauchery?
