Question How do I buy baseball tix?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm not too into sports, but my friend is so I'm gonna get us Yankee tickets for her birthday. When I go to Yankees.com the cheap seats are sold out, but when I go to resellers like stubhub they've got tons of seats from cheaper sections but for quadruple the Yankees.com price. What gives? Where am I supposed to go to get a reasonable deal on tickets? thanks!

There are other places besides stubhub...search for Yankees tickets and see what you find.

You're going to pay significantly greater than face value for any Yankees tickets.

Yes, that's what I'm learning . . . Isn't that illegal? Concerts don't work this way. Why even bother having Yankees.com if they don't sell tickets to normal fans? A $14 bleacher seat only exists on their site, nowhere in reality?

Take her to a Washington Nationals game - they can't even give their tickets away

Yankees.com sells the tickets initially. It exists. It was available at a time, and was then bought. And now it's being sold by someone else for their asking price.

Ticket brokers suck--actually, the organizations that allow them to thrive suck.

Anyways, you might have better luck on eBay. In the past, I've gotten Cubs tickets that way when they were hard to find.
