How do I make a Line out + USB power cord for an iPod

Sign in to disble this ad
I know the iPods have a 30-pin dock, but at least 2 of those have to be the line out. If I could get a cord, could I jury rig something like this or do they sell them pre-made? I have an iPod cord that is no good, or at least I think I do, that I can get a USB end off of.

No, I mean a cord that has a line out + the USB, so it can charge and have power. Like a dock, but in cord form.

screech, let me key you in on a little secret, time = money. By the time you actually figure out how to do it, burn your little mitts with a soldering iron 21 times, get your hands un bandaged, and figure out where you screwed up x 19, and make it work, you would have wished you'd spend the $30.

finally he relents. I mean, would it have been worse, if on your first try didn't realize you crossed a wire and totally burned out the new iPod before hearing a note out of it?

Face it, you "buy in" to the Apple experience, they got you by the $$ balls $$, Deal with it.
