I have a 2000 Honda Accord. I keep my maintenance up to date. My maintenance light came on and I believe it's because the dealer forgot to reset it for me. This happened to me once in the past.
I can't remember how to reset it. I remember having to hold something in for a certain amount of time and then do something else...
Anyone?
Joe

A lot of GM's are key on - full throttle 3 times in 5 sec. while others are running through computer crap. Honda/Acura are typically pretty easy. My Acura has a button under the steering column.

| | | | LOL this was the answer from 'the answer bag.com'.
You'll want to put the vehicle in park, lean over to the right side of the car and look for a little box that comes out of the dash (a handle will be visible). Open that baby up and inside will be a little fake leather book. Open that, and inside will be a thick paper book. It may crack when you open it (I'm guessing it hasn't been looked at in 4 years) but you'll want to find the index at the back. Look there for oil change indicator (or similar wording) and follow the instructions directly from the people who actually made your truck. Amazing how those things just pop up in life! |

Actually, it was easier to post the question here on TB.
I haven't been in the glove box for a long time. Lord knows what I would find in there.
Peace,
Joe

Everytime I start the car it flashes for a few seconds. I've checked all my fluids though and it all looks good. Who knows....

Follow the above instructions and you'll be fine.
