How do these people participate in biggest looser, do they all quit their jobs?

Not bass related at all.

But I was watching this show the biggest looser where people loose weight.

It says they take all the participants to this "boot camp" for 6 months.

So I wonder:
- They all quit their jobs and don't work for 6 months. Who pays their bills, take care of their children, etc.

- If this was recorded a couple months ago, why is it that nobody have seen those participants that were booted off the show. Say somebody already post pictures of people that have kicked out from the current season.

- Does the show pay for their insurance, cause I am sure some these people are going to end up in the hospital.

One of my old bandmates was on a reality show like that a couple months ago called Canada's Worst Driver.

He got time off work for a couple months.
They flew him and his woman to Toronto, paid for hotel/food/transportation for him and her for duration of the entire taping.
Then they flew them home and they had to sign a contract to not speak a word about the show until it aired.

We got together weekly to watch each episode and he would tell us stories about it and talk about each episode but never leaked any future information.

Probably any sort of personal or even medical leave.
Some companies still allow vacation a leave days, surprising I know.

As for shows like Joisey Beach, and the dating reality shows I think it's safe to say most of them are jobless trust fund brats.

Along the same line...What about that show, I think it is "Survivor" where the contestants are on a deserted island and have to live off what they can catch or find. What do all of the production people (camera, sound, lighis, etc) eat? Do they have to compete with the contestants for food, or are their meals catered? What about their housing?
