I'm not saying I want to be one (actually I would'nt mind being one ) but I'm just wondering how you actually become one.

It's a very difficult process; guidance is provided in code by the British Dental Association.

own the website is a good first step
I bet if you offer to pay for the entire operating expenses
they might make you a pretend moderator of your own forum.

I hear its a brutal cage match against a current admin, followed by an escape from said cage via flaming motorcycle. If you do not score "Fabulous" they steal your soul and banish it to 4chan.

Rituals, many dark, twisted rituals.

You also have to buy the lunches for a year.

Start off here:
phpBB • Free and Open Source Forum Software

Set it up and home and start customizing it. Once the current admin dies, you can go to burning man where they have the cage match for the next admin. good luck.

I had no idea that they used the same ratings as DDR and DMC to rate admins on Talkbass...

Please don't send my soul to 4chan... I've had enough of gore and "raff/ruse" threads to last me a lifetime.

One thing I've noticed is that most mods have been around for awhile, if not since the birth of TB. I figure most people's chances of becoming a mod is slim to none, even if they would make better mods than some of the current ones.

My question is this - has anyone ever lost mod status for reasons other than them retiring from the position?

I used to be the owner of TB, but the current mod posse took over by the use of social media kind of like how it went down in Egypt.

But seriously, in order to be a mod you have to do the jungle bar test. You have to get across the ****** ******* jungle bars, but you can't because you're too **** fat. < If someone knows where that's from they'll be my bff ae ae forever <3

I didn't even ask to become a mod.
I was asked.

After the rituals... I regret it. That memory of waxing JT... *shudder*
