How do you confront somebody talking behind your back?

Sign in to disble this ad
Woke up this morning to my suitemates talking loudly in the common room. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop but I somehow woke up at the point when they started talking about me. My roommate was laughing about how I take showers at random times (didn't get a chance til 3:30AM yesterday morning) and how he's fed up with my alarm clock. He said he didn't understand why I set my alarm on weekends if I'm just going to fall back asleep, that I take too long to turn it off, it's different on different days (that's because I have different classes on different days you moron), and other "little" things.

Now, if he had just approached me and asked me to make different arrangements or such, it would have been fine. But he chooses to go behind my back and nit-pick with my suitemates. How should I confront him on this, if at all?

approach them slowly and from behind, make sure they can't see your shadow. Break their neck.

I wouldn't bother with any of their perceived gripes... you really weren't suppose to hear about them.

What I would remind them about is that they are total morons if they don't understand the concept of "talking behind someone's back"!

Then... start crying and blubbering about their total disregard for your feelings. Drop words like "counselor" & "suicide" into the conversation to spice the melodrama up a bit and get it moving along properly.

Hi, Vince.

While he's asleep, take two glasses. One empty and one with water. Just pour the water from one glass to another next to his ear.

Won't make him respect You more, but at least he's annoyed for a reason.

Just kidding, talk to him, politely if possible.

Regards
Sam

Ignore him. He's not man enough to talk to you about your alarm clock so just carry on irritating the crap out of him. He's the one with issues, he should make the first move

Turn your friggin' alarm off on the weekends. If I had a roommate who did that, I'd have busted that alarm clock months ago.

I should mention that I have gotten along with him fine until this point, and didn't realize anything was wrong. Who knows what other crap he's talking behind my back that I didn't hear.

The kid also spends most of his days and nights (including weekend nights) playing "World of Warcraft", so I find it highly entertaining that he's mocking my habits and lifestyle.
