Sign in to disble this ad
My dad was told by his treadmill repair guy that the interference he hears on his radio while the tread mill is on could be repaired by grounding his radio. Its just a little stereo radio with a cd player. How can I do that for him?
thanks
steve

Now what? | To be honest this is no different than picking up noise on your bass. Put copper foil around the inside of the casing (don't cover any vents though!) Switch the cable that's in there for three core connect the live and neutral to where they should be and connect the ground to the foil.
Or if it already has a metal casing just connect the ground to that.

It's pretty simple, you just need a soldering iron and the cord. If you are leery about doing it yourself, you can have a shop do it, should run about$10-12 plus the cord

I can't imagine doing it would take that long.
