how do you link an xbox360 and a computer together?

I know you can normally do it through internet, but I have a really bad net connection. It craps out every hour or so and i have to restart my internet.

Normally I would google it, but I can't get the links on google to open, they keep going to random advertisements. it sucks

I just got alot of movies and music on my laptop, and thought it would be cool to have them go through my 360 so i can watch them on my big tv, and also so I can play all the music on my comp while playing games.

any help?
