All my teams were picked when i was young, it was impulse... Many are because they are local: 49ers, A's, Sharks, CSKA Moscow (hockey and soccer) and Wings due to all CSKA players playing there... However for some reason, I was a huge Sonics fan... From the looks of it, not anymore...
Sonics are skipping Seattle and doing it in very bad fashion. The way they are doing this thing, the way they are acting is kinda crappy.
So in event when i stop loving my sonics, how do i go about choosing a new team if even doing it... How many of you would still be a fan of a team that treated the city that was home for 40 years like that... I hate the new owners for lying to the teams fans, I hate the way they did everything in past several years...
What do you guys think?
I miss the days of Payton, Baker, Kemp, Detlef Schrempf, Sam (big smooth), Hawkins, Nate McMillan.

I dunno what to say.. Pick the Warriors or something.
I'm a huge Magic fan, thick and thin. Cause it's the closest team to Tampa Bay and Anfernee was #1!

I pretty much dislike all CA basketball teams... I don't know why...

Larry Bird
James Worthy
Scottie Pippen
Chris Mullin
Grant Hill
Dominique Wilkins
Tough to stand out among that crowd.
The first thing I thought when I saw his name there was "Indiana Pacers." I forgot he was on that Sonics finals team. |

I'd probably switch to the Rays just to stay in my home state. Or possibly another small market team with a low pay-roll because that is how I see the Marlins. |

But if you want a non-California team, you could become a Kings fan now and have an excuse to road trip to Las Vegas in a couple years.
Otherwise, I say become a Blazers fan. Passionate fan base, beautiful city, and a team that has finally shed its problem players for a collection of really talented youngsters. And just wait until next year when they have Greg Oden suiting up.

I was only around 10 when they played their first season, so I don't even know how much coverage the sport got here since I didn't watch the NBA pre-Raptors. Support and positive vibes are at a high in the Greater Toronto Area considering how the Maple Leafs are performing. They could always use another fan. |

Plus several 50+ win seasons in the 90's
Even the Celtics' lean years aren't that lean. |

I picked them because that is where my family hails from. Orange is also one of my favorite colors. I've learned to like them for the identity of the team and the style of hockey they play. I like gritty smash mouth hockey even if it gets a little goonie at times. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
