It shows you the frequency range of a 3 band EQ?

I shouldve been more clear. I know its a frequency range for a 3 band eq, but what I'm not sure of is how to exactly read it. I'm assuming that all frequencies start from a flat setting then increase or decrease accordingly. Also if the eq is set flat, then most of the frequencies start below a zero db level?? Also what the hell is that "center" line?

Sorry for the ignorance, but I've never been one to base my decicions off specs and charts, I always let my ears and hands be my guide. But I'm thinking about making some modifications and kinda need to know how to read all this stuff so that I know what to look for in better preamps.

With the bass controller on your eq you can boost or cut roughly 20 dB at 20 Hz, roughly 10 dB at 100 Hz and roughly 5 dB at 200 Hz.

The overall response with all controls set "flat", or more accurately all at 12 o'clock.

This is why I quit playing bass, too confusing. It took all the fun out of playing trying to understand that.

Each color is the upper and lower maximum influence of one of the knobs. It allows you to see that, for example, the treble control on this pickup will peak its boost in the 3000 kHz range and lessen for higher frequencies, while it can attenuate the highs pretty flat past 4000 kHz.

The center line is an average of the three controls' response. It makes it easier to spot that the whole thing slightly attenuates the highs and lows, with its highest point at about 450 Hz.
