How do you use your blender?

So, i just got a blender and i wana know what kinda stuff you guys blend. Its nothing fancy, but it does the trick. I started working out, and i find making a smoothy is easier for me to take in protein and fruit than eating it, but the consistency kinda sucks, so if you guys have recipes, lets hear em. Or if you have booze recipes, or whatever else, lets hear em too!

Protein: Whey powder

Fat: Extra virgin olive oil

Some things need more blending, so they go in first.

Your blending up pumpkin, sweet potatoes and spinach???

And if your drinking a shake post workout id skip the olive oil or fats. Its going to slow down digestion of the protein which is something you dont want right after a workout. If its during the day as a meal replacement then the olive oil is a great source.

The pumpkin is canned [so sugar variety]. And i don't use that much oil.

In the past I've experimented with everything. I'll dare say I was the original "will it blend" guy. Perhaps my worst creation was a can of lentil soup bended with a can of tuna.

seems like you guys use your blenders for what they was meant for.
I use my blender for making baits for fishing (freshwater) and here in England our fish are tiny compared to yours but my blender is perfect for the job (wife is none to pleased) but then again she"s never pleased about anything.

i really prefer these guys for normal (non non-fat) protein powder with non-fat milk:

http://www.amazon.com/BlenderBottle-...2017068&sr=8-1

i only own a food processor, so maybe i should get banned for my unqualified post, but i have only used it to chop up garlic for making bulk pasta sauce. i keep meaning to make hummus and pesto, but ive just never gotten around to it.

that said, when i owned a blender, yogurt, banana, frozen strawberry, and some kind of juice is awesome. a smoothie without yogurt and banana is not a smoothie.

I let my brother borrow it a few month ago. Haven't seen it since.
I'll have to ask him and then post his response.

Prior to that it was a margarita maker.
Once, I used it to make a filling for stuffed mushrooms. Won't do that again.
Obviously.
