How does your country view the U.S.A?

For all of you outside of the United States, how does your country/people feel in general about the USA. Whats the word on the street so to speak. A friend of mine visited a European country recently and was almost mugged in the street because some people over heard him mention the words USA and Iraq War to his friends, they wanted to fight him just for being American. I don't really understand this, how can people be so hypocritical or close minded or whatever you want to call it. My friend told me that every country he went through in Europe seemed extremely hostile towards Americans in general. Whats the deal?

Having been on this forum a few years, I can smell the love coming.

Not really a discussion item here any more than Norway or Greece. Nobody really cares.
