How fast have you seen someone loose their good looks ? I wouldent say I was good looking but was half presentable to the public and I lost it over the course of about 2years with the following 2 only getting worse. Day and night difference in the pics , really makes you appreciate what you used to have.

Does this have an impact with your musicianship? --Kent

Simple things in case you want to get your looks back:

* Exercise, especially yoga (check out older yoga instructors.)
* Healthy food, leave out all junk food, more green stuff and fruit.
* Loose weight so you are in a healthy range.
* No smoking.
* If possible minimize alcohol intake, down to zero if possible.
* Of course any other substance abuses are a big no-no.
* Proper sleep.
* Remove as much stress from your life as possible.
* Even better, slow down your hectic mind. Avoid for example crazy relationships.
* Take care of any unexpected health problems, one example is high blood pressure that could be lurking, or excessive sugar intake.

As a bonus from all this, your expected time to play bass in his lifetime will dramatically increase. To note is that your looks reflect your inner state.

I knew a guy who had a sister that was really hot, but her mom looked awful had huge dark circles under her eyes & fat.

His sister married this studley guy, wore satin open shirts with lots of chest hair hanging out, drove a Vette.

I went back to their place several years later after she had a baby and she ended up looking exactly like her mom!

Her husband got a big beer belly, his hair was balding and had a bizarre comb over thing.

Really freaky.

Check out her momma- Johnny Winter

Check out her mama, before you say I do;
Check out her mama 'cause' jus' between me
and you;
Unless her mama is fine, you better take
your time;
She's gonna look jus' like her mama on
down the line.

Usually takes about 8 hours. Then you'll be sober, and when you roll over her good looks will be all gone.

It really depends if you were drunk when you first saw the person.

What he said:
Keeping " Home" together when you loose all interest in communicating ?

Two 'loose' threads in the same week is just sad, especially when the error is pointed out in thread one.

For the record, here are some words and their opposites:

lose <==> win
loser <==> winner
losing <==> winning
loose <==> tight
looser <==> tighter

Are you really only noticing now that MM has pitiful spelling? He's even outright said a few times that he can't spell worth a damn.

Lose should be pronounced like dose. Why isn't dose pronounced doose? There must be a reason, please one of you English majors explain the English language.

I've seen some lose their good looks just by opening their mouth to speak.

Yup. There was a girl I had it bad for in high school, but she was entirely uninterested. Saw her again about two years after high school, with an extra 30-40 pounds to her. Disgusting.
