How to glue polyethylene?

Sign in to disble this ad
How do you glue polyethylene? This is the plastic that looks kind of shiny and is used from everything to car bumpers to bass cases. It is a thermoset plastic so it can not be remelted. Nothing sticks to it and super glue bottles are even made of it.

What works?
Thanks!

You could also try a plastic welder:

Plastic welding, plastic welding tools, plastic welding equipment, kits, rods and supplies.

But that's about it. PE on one hand is amazing to work with, and on the other, really difficult.

I remember having to glue polyethylene; the glue I had that worked was Scotch Weld 8010.

But it worked *really* well.
