I'm with you... the forum set up is some pretty basic topic divisions. It hurts my head to see what is posted where.

I think part of it too is people are self centered enough to KNOW it's wrong and post things elsewhere just to get extra traffic to the thread because OT has more people on it usually.

Exactly. The forum structure is supposed to enable people to choose what they want to read about. When I'm in OT, I want OT - not strings, pickups, band management... Well, you get it.

Hey, my bass is making weird noises when I plug it into my cat, is that normal?

No! It should be your cat making the weird noises.

Well, it is coming from the bass. Maybe it is the gerbil that I stuck in the control cavity.

Is that the control cavity of the cat, or the bass? It's kind of crucial.

This is an easy one! The solution to incorrect posting in OT is to shut OT down completely.

Could make a rule where if a mod has to move your thread to another forum it bans you from posting for 12 hours, would stop pretty much anyone in their tracks haha.

Dear TB mods,

Please do not close down TBOT, its pretty much where I live 40 hours of the week.

If you think it's bad here (which it is definitely not!), you should check out the Harmony Central forums, 95% of the stuff is posted in wrong forums. It makes their forums unusable.

What? You think a gerbil can yell up to spleen of a cat so loud that it makes the bass -- which just happens to be plugged into the cats behind (I used a monster cable for this) -- sing sweet songs of cancer? Of course it is the control cavity of the bass.

This really is a bad problem, I never usually notice but it's really rampant.

settle down guys. it's not that bad, and some folks are actually new, believe it or not.

there are other topics more worthy of your ire.
