Found this yesterday during a two-hour trip in my car:

That's a real Renault 4 as an ornament somewhere in the middle of a desolated and dusty road. I'm still scratching my head trying to figure out how it was put there. Not that the answer is important, but found this very curious anyway.

Wanna bet there's no engine or tranny?

Still don't know how though.

Wait a minute.....that looks like a riverbank in a rather dry region. Flashflood.

This is the one pic from a different perspective that looks like a riverbank:

The other pics are from a different perspective, showing us some altitude for perspective, but this may be the deception. Rivers exist in the hills and mountains ans can flood like crazy under the right conditions. Hmmmm.....

Right, I remember a TV show featuring "amazing talents", and this one guy from Wales claimed he could power-lift an entire car above his head. Well, he did it, but it was a similar tiny car, with no engine, tranny, or seats inside.

Still reasonably impressive, I guess--it must have weighed at least his own body weight or more, and had no "easy" handle or weight distribution like a barbell.

Since you took the pics, you would know if there is a stream or dried river bed up there.........?

Yes, there's a stream somewhat near, but not so much.

I thought that at first, but there's no reason for someone to bring a crane to that place.

I can totally imagine some friends driving along that way, and on the side of the road they see an old car abandoned and stripped of its engine, and maybe they've had a few cervezas, and they say "hey! Let's put that car up on top of that big rock over there!"

It would have to be a lot of friends and a lot of cervezas.

I bet four guys could do it. Two in front pulling it with rope, and two in back pushing and stabilizing it.

This.

People do strange things with old cars

Any wonder how or more importantly why they did this?
