My family is really traditional, so I would say very important. When I was living at home, we'd always sit down for dinner. If my dad was running late from work, we'd wait 'til he got home (could be 7 or 8 o'clock) before we ate.

Very.

What sucks is I work from 4:00pm to midnight so I miss it 5 days a week. Pretty depressing.

Crap. Now I'm sitting here at work missing my wife and daughters. Thanks a lot.

Feeding time.

You make it sound like a band of vampires.

Aside from a few events that keep us apart, we always sit down to dinner together.

It's one way for my wife and I to talk with all four of our kids at once. It really helps with the family bonding. At least it's one thing we all share at the same time.

I'd say it's very important.

When I still lived at home I would have liked for the family to eat together but that ended around when I was 14 years old. Work and other things made it so that it didn't happen anymore. My mom would just lay food out on the table and whenever you have the time or whenever you're hungry you just go grab it and eat it wherever you want. About all forms of communication between the parents and the children ended about the same time too.

I usually eat alone if I'm not with my girlfriend.
