The male actor in the scene at the 4:44 mark to the 5:16 mark is playing a 10 year old child. How can a scene like this be legal? YouTube - The Bernie Mac Show - "The Other Sister" Season 2 (Part 2) |

There's been a heck of a lot worse than that in movies and videos - do you think all such things may not be legal or is there just something about this one specifically that's getting to you?
Not a challenge or anything, I just feel like I'm missing something?

But no one has told me how it is legal. | You need to explain how it's illegal first. What are you seeing that is "illegal"? I don't see anything that breaks any broadcast regulations.
The OP is like saying "Someone needs to explain to me why TB is legal." ... well, it's legal because it doesn't break any laws. |

But no one has told me how it is legal. | There is a saying in the law: tout ce que la loi ne defend pas est permis. "That which is not forbidden is permitted." If you claim that it is illegal, the burden is on you to explain why, and not us us to explain why not.

Or just asking for opinions of how something like that can be legal? Subtle difference..

I think if the genders were reversed, it would be judged by some people as inappropriate (a double standard, yes), but even then, I'm not sure it could be considered illegal. There is no nudity and no sex act between a child and an adult. |

It was a portrayal in a TV show where all parties involved were consenting to the groping, including, presumably, the boy's parents. For that matter, it wasn't actually a grope, more of a pat.
No nudity or sex acts were depicted. While I wouldn't let my kids watch the show, there are reasons for that above and beyond the lingerie-clad actresses, who happened to be wearing more than I see in plenty of Playtex and Victoria's Secret commercials. The actress playing the nun agreed to what happened in advance. No broadcast regulations were bypassed, either. I'm sure the production company involved didn't break child labor laws by having the boy work too long or too hard, or allow him to neglect his schooling to take part in the TV show.
So, if no laws were broken, then it's legal. Simple.
