Hi. Today, I'll learn you how to make floral arragements. Flowers are beautiful things, and compliment eachother magnificently. If done right, they can trigger whatever emotions! But if you do it wrong, like putting white lillies with red roses.
First off, an aspargus arragement.
This is what you need!
A can, spring asparagus (one pound for a 32 ounce can if you wish to put the arragement in that), rubber bands (2-3), raffia, and two dozen of your favourite flower
This is how you do it!
1. Place two strong rubber bands around the center of the can and insert the asparagus stalks inside the bands.
2. Use raffia to cover the rubber bands.
3. Fill three-quarters of your can with water and place the long stems of the flowers around the edges so they meet with the asparagus tips.
4. Put the arrangement on your table. It looks nice there.
Congrats! You've made an aspargus flower arrangement.
Next, a bridal bouquet.
This is what you need!
30 stems of a hardy flower of your choice (roses?) per bouquet. One bucket, paper towels, a ribbon, rubber bands, a stem cutter, straight pins.
1. Perpare the flowers by removing throns, excess foilage and ugly petals. Cut the stems at an angle. Then put the stems in the bucket filled with cool water.
Now here is a great tip. If the flowers are not opened, put them in a bucket of hot water just before use to open them for a few minutes. Not too long, that'll kill them.
2. Take one stem and put it in the other hand. Repeat. Assemble the flowers how you like them, preferably in a dome-shape. Stand in front of a mirror as you make the arrangement to better see you progress and what it'll look like.
3. Secure the bouquet with the rubber bands, about 6 to 8 centimetres below the flower heads.
4. Cut the stem ends to the same lenght - about 14 to 18 centimetres long. Tuck the ribbon inside the the top bind, and wrap it around the stems spiralling downwards. When you reach the bottom, wrap back up and tuck the end of the ribbon on the opposite side of the start. Secure the ribbon end and start with the pins.
5. If you wish to preserve the bouqet, wrap it in a paper towel and store them in a refridgerator
