How to make yourself a better person..

Sign in to disble this ad
I just read a little thing on this on cnn.com..

What do you do or what can you do?

Here are my five:

1. Workout Daily

2. Take your dog for a walk and waive at your neighbors

3. Don't be afraid to take a deep breath and count to 10

4. Make someone laugh and/or smile, even when you're having a really crappy day

5. Call your parents more than you already do

Exercise at least once daily. Even a 10-20 min walk will refresh you.

Smile at others more often. You may be the first and only person to do so, and they will appreciate it.

Laugh often. Laughter is the best medicine.

Talk more to others. Don't keep stuff building inside you, just tell someone. Even if they don't care, at least you let it out.

Learn to look for the positive in everything. When a door closes on your face, another one opens somewhere else.

1. Never gonna happen.

2. Already walk my dog, but my closest neighbor is 1/2 mile away.

3. I should probably do this more I tend to freak out on people who annoy me.

4. I'm always making people laugh or smile, its always been who I am.

5. No Thanks.

If I waive my neighbors then I'm gonna have to stop stealing cable from them.

great post NJL...thanks for this.

My suggestions to myself

1) More patience with my children at trying times, and choose my words wiser.

2) Always ask myself: DO I NEED this? If not, don't blow the money

3) Count my blessings, enjoy being in the now, and enjoy my home time more

4) Recognize when I'm being excessive / abrasive and curb those inclinations

5) Knock boots more (ok, the last one is on the wish list...hahahaha)

1) Do the next right thing, whatever that may be.

2) Stop worrying about what others are doing so much and focus on what you are doing instead.

3) When in doubt, be kind.

4) Exercise every day, even if it's not as much as you'd like to have done.

5) Try to get a little perspective each day on how good your life really is rather than focusing on what's wrong with it; appreciate what you have.

Follow Jesus' example throughout the day in every situation.

Make others burst out in laughter. That's my gift to mankind.

2. Do at least one thing that is fun every day
3. Tell everyone that's important that you love them
4. Be able to laugh at yourself
5. Laugh at Carlos
