I had all four wisdom teeth taken out when I was about 26, plus I had two permanent teeth removed on my lower jaw when I was about 13 because they weren't coming in right and my dentist wanted to try correcting the problem without requiring braces.
It sort of worked since I didn't need braces ......... until I was 37!!!!  Wore them for almost two years.
