No offense, but $18000 + $11500 = $29500 actually. Therein may lie part of the problem.

None and my credit report reflects this...........and not in a good way The entire credit system is a scam. Being punished for responsible money management is BS.

Exactly 500 bucks. Which I will pay when the bill comes in the mail, as usual.

Honestly, I think signing for a second credit card is usually a bad sign. Making minimum payments while spending money on other non-essential stuff is a ridiculously bad decision. But from a credit company's point of view, you need people like this.

This is WAAAY too much in revolving debt unless you are making over 150-200k per year.

$275k, my mortgage. Everything else is paid off.

Credit cards will kill you man. Use them ONLY when needed.
Try and have a plan not to charge any more than you can pay off in 6 months.

Yes, that is a lot to have on credit cards.
I don't think I've ever put anything higher than $2500.00 on a C.C.
I also paid that off very quickly. I'd think I crap myself if I had that much on a credit card.

My own personal debt.
I own a mortgage (a house) with about $84,000.00 to go and I just got a used car at $10,000. Credit card only has less than $500.00.

Depends on your income, and whether you debt is increasing or decreasing.

Some kinds of debt are not a bad thing per se. Some are.

About $1700 on a car loan for a Trooper that died on me. They are garnishing my checks, but the way I see it; they screwed me, not the other way around.

I'm making it as difficult as possible for them to get my money. Haven't had a garnishment in about 3 months. I'm wondering if they have given up yet.

Other than that, I'm debt free.

To the OP, I could never imagine be that far in debt.

I owe something like $16k on my house. Cars are paid for, and credit cards get paid off every month. I'm still worth a lot more dead than I am alive however.......

I thought having a couple open lines of credit is a good thing. especially since I pay more than the minimum balance. and

I have no school loans or car payment or mortgage. or kids for that matter
