i've been buying my own groceries for years now, but only recently have i really been watching it.
about a week and a half ago, i spent $60 on groceries, but the next week, just a little more conscientiousness got me a good amount of food for $40. (that said, yesterday i went out to lunch, which set me back around $8-ish.)
how often do you go grocery shopping, and how much is your typical receipt?
i guess my curiosity has been piques since reading
an article on msn about a family of four getting by on less than $110 (

) for one week, and then late last night/early this morning, reading a message board post elsewhere about a family (possibly just husband and wife) spending around $800 a month on organic groceries.
