I bought about $50.00 worth . I get a few hundred kids! People literally bus their kids to my neighborhood . I just sit on the porch as you can't go inside for more than 30 seconds without a knock at the door .
I think it's great that this holiday hasn't been ruined (at least here)with paranoia and fear , kind of ironic
I remember a time when you could take your candy to the hospital where they would Xray it for pins and razor blades.
Now they would want $1,000,000 to do it
As a kid it was one of my favorite holidays , memories of the old lady who gave out mushy apples only to have them smashed on her house and car , the one who gave everybody a penny!, popcorn balls , and the trusting soul who left an entire bowl of candy out with a note " take one!" , first one there got the whole bowl. The older kids who would try and pull a snatch and run with your bag of stuff. Eggs , pumpkin smashing, soaping windows....Everybody expected it and took it in stride.
Good stuff!
Had a sugar high that lasted for days! |

The wife and I go to the in-laws for the annual Chili and cornbread night passing out candy. They live about 11 blocks away from here. |

We will be trick o' treating around our neighborhood then going to my buddy's house for a party. Our neighborhood has so much candy that my son had a pillowcase full by the time he made it around the block. |

Our neighborhood sucks. |
