How much money did you blow?? X-mas stuff!!

I was taking toll of what I bought my family and friends for Christmas and how much money I blew. I'm as big of a gear whore as the next guy ( unless the next guy is Tombowlus ) and I think of the stuff I could have bought. I suppose that's not the reason for the season...... nor are presents in general if you want to get literal. On my girlfriend alone I've spent close to $900. It all seems so excessive, not that my family isn't worth it and all. What are you other big spenders, little spenders, self spenders getting your fam or significant others for the holiday?

I don't intend this to be a competetion, although I'm sure it'll turn into one eventually. Just curious.

Well, so far I'm in for a little better than $800.00. I got my wife a puppy last Saturday for a Christmas present. I think it works out to a little better than $100.00 per pound. I still have the majority of my Christmas shopping left to do yet. May God have mercy on my soul.........

None yet. I need about 2 hours in one trip out of the house to do my shopping. Since I work at home, I can go on one weekday morning, avoiding the mob scene.

I consider my presence and company an adequate gift to all my family/friends.

So far I've spent about $60 on my son and $20 on Mrs. WP4F. Got a couple other things to get her and I've got to get some pics duplicated for Christmas cards but I expect to be under $200 for everyone and everything this year.

Teach me the way oh master! I think sentimental gifts like pictures and what not are great! One of my favorite presents was a framed set of photos from a family vacation.

I plan on spending as little as possible. Less than $100. Next year I plan on not buying gifts. I am just not into the consumerism. I would rather take the money and donate it to something worthy.

prolly a couple hundred in, on the kids, and a few niece and nephew gifts. I only buy for the kids and the 'rents. The Wife and I trade up at tax time and get a family gift.

last year was the most spent ever, and I think I capped off around 650 bucks. Too much, imo.

I've worked with dolts that brag about dropping 15oo-2 grand a kid, and I think "geez pops, compensating for something?"

No wonder some kids know neither the value of a dollar, nor appreciate anything they own.

Well let's see...No significant other this year. I'm dating someone but she is brand new...too new for gift exchange!
Mom gets one of those digital picture frame things...around $120
Dad gets two collectors edition, German made, super rare and incredible pocket knives (he's a collector) $150
Brother gets a Gerber multi tool thing and a Gerber flashlight with multiple lenses: About $75 for everything
Brother in law gets the same thing.
Sister gets a set of picture frames and a digital picture frame keychain: About $60 for everything
Sister in law gets the same thing (are you guys seeing the pattern here?)
Brother of sister in law gets a gift card with fifty bucks on it
Aunt gets fifty dollar gift card for Waldenbooks (she's a college professor....it seemed fitting)
Toys for tots box at my office got about $200 in assorted toys from Kay Bee and Wal-Mart. (Casualmadness also met a single, hot MILF while buying said toys that night...)
Friends all get good, firm handshakes.
Oh and casualmadness got a new Warwick FNA 4 and a Spector Legend 4.
Of course my birthday is just a few days away from Christmas (this Thursday if anyone is in the giving mood)...so I'll say the 'wick was bday and the Spector was xmas.
