So this may be old news to some, but I've just run across this letter.
I've just read through it twice consecutively. My head is ballooning.
And as tempting as it is, please leave Monster-bashing out of this thread, whether or not they richly deserve it. |

I guess Monster cable had a reputation for bullying the competition. Obviously, that wont work with a someone whom actually knows the laws.
This is the last update BJC had on the AVS forums. Quote: |

There is no formal deadline for Monster to respond. I gave them 14 days, but that has no legal significance--in fact, I wouldn't have put a deadline on it if they hadn't put an arbitrary deadline on my answering their initial letter. I would, however, have expected them to respond within that deadline, just because lawyers hate to allow any implication, however weak, that they have waived something by failure to timely respond.
My guess, as of right now, is that there will be no response. That is certainly the correct way for Monster to handle it, as nothing they say at this point is liable to be of any help to them. It is clear that the claims were frivolous and so there is nothing to gain, and much to lose, in suing over these claims.

Cable is cable. Copper is copper. Good soldering and quality connectors used with a decent quality cable are all you need. Monster cable is simply a waste of money.

This letter should be spreaded to everyone who has gone under Moster's bulliying practises.
I hope Monster gets their payback. |

I think monster just smacked the wrong bee hive.

My brother talked about this stuff all the time, this is the first time I actually cared
