How ready are you to die?

Let's face it, none of us are going to be here forever and al this stuff we drone on about won't matter a tinker's cuss to us once we've breathed our last.

So, what would you like to make sure you leave in good order when you go? And what will you regret having to leave behind? Any last bits of good advice for the world before you say goodbye to it all for the very last time?

I regret that I've never heard a tinker cuss, and probably never will.

You've missed out. I heard one this very afternoon.

What I want:
YouTube - The Highwaymen Live Forever

What I fear:
YouTube - Johnny Cash Hurt

What will prolly happen:
YouTube - Pirates Of The Mississippi - Feed Jake

And that's enough country for a good long time.

Well, honestly I've sorta been through that when I had my heart surgery.
It's a weird weird feeling.
The night before, I was asked to sign some legal papers stating that I'm aware that the outcome of the operation may be my death or mental "damage", anything from slight impairment to a vegetative state etc... that really got to me.

Before going to the hospital, I had packed a gym bag full of "lasts" just in case - I had my walkman, a few CD's and chose a "last batch of songs" to listen to through the night, I had pictures of my kids with me so I could keep looking at them. I wrote "last letters" to each of them just in case..
I would get up and start pacing around the room, almost in a frantic state of anxiety and panic, then I would calm down and almost feel at ease after telling myself that this sort of surgery was extremely routine and I had little to worry about ...I ran through a checklist - my last will - in order. the bills - paid, extra cash set aside for the worst case scenario - check. It was very surreal actually how you can be sitting there, functioning logically for the most part knowing that there's a chance that you could die tomorrow morning...

Regrets - I just didn't want to leave my kids behind, that was the worst part. Everything else was trivial in comparison.

I have thought a few times about what I'd like on my tombstone. Current favourite is "That was interesting. Now, what's next?"

Hi.

I'm ready to die any minute, any day, or any year. The things I do, and the way I think about life, feeling any other way would be pointless.

It's the ones left behind that have to figure out what the hell to do with all the crap, eh, valuables that have accumulated over the years into "my" posession.

Regards
Sam

After certain recent events in my life, I've started believing in living every day as if it's my last and keeping no grudges. I can say I'm pretty ready to die anytime, provided I get assurance that my family stays safe and prosperous after I go

I would just like to make sure my wife, parents and sister will be ok and able to manage after I'm gone. Oh, and my pet rats, they need to be well looked after.

I should probably make them aware that they are free to sell all my gear if I kick the bucket, not worth hanging on to if no-one plays any of it... they should have the cash.

+1 except I'm 18. But, If I were to die I wouldn't be to miffed about it, as long as I didn't have a headache, if I did then I wouldn't enjoy heaven.
