Hey, I have a Sony E series walkman. After adjusting the gain settings in the test menu, I was using the player and it crashed when I selected the radio.
Will the pin-hole reset button on the back delete all my files? None of the buttons will respond...
Thanks

Fresh batteries, soft que-tip and 90% alcohol to wipe the head clean, acetone / rubber renew / sandpaper on the rollers, perhaps hit the battery contacts with a pencil eraser. Sorry OP... and um, thanks!
Edit:Tip to avoid that wow and flutter or what I came to refer to as "post production": don't leave your tapes on your cracked hot vinyl dash in the sun.

If she has the problem, I have the solution and it's not just taking the AVLS limiter off. Mine is now the same volume as an Ipod on full throttle, at 14/30 on the Sony's scale
