Not at all. If you have one you're thinking of using, type it and see what the site has to say about its security.

I found it more amusing than serious.

Depending on which one I use it would take between 6 days and 71 thousand years.

Typing sentences is apparently the best way to go.

thisisacommonpassword takes 65 trillion years

Add a 1, and it's 2 quintillion years

Add a ? to that, and it's 1 septillion years.

One of my passwords would take 769 years, another one would take 36 billion years.

I'm pretty sure mine are pretty solid lol.

in most cases, I think that the passwords we choose and use are fairly secure.

What seems to have vulnerabilities these days are the allegedly 'secure sites' where we make purchases via-credit cards and such.

Its amazing how quickly the time to crack goes up when you get past 8 characters; dictionary words or not.

Hi.

It's all based on the assumption that the codes are cracked by computers. If someone wants to know YOUR password, and is dedicated to that task, things get much easier.

L33t is pretty secure, especially in sentences.

This is a great explanation of why sentences are better than "clever" short passwords. It really is a size thing.

I tested this web site a week ago using a permutation of my real password(s). Good to use long numbers and #\}@* odd characters, indeed. And a capital letter, too.
