How susceptible are you to ads?

Sign in to disble this ad
I ask this because I consider myself a fairly tough sell. I have never once clicked a banner ad, I've never been swayed by a spam email. But SOMEBODY has to buy into them, or they wouldn't serve a purpose.

I'm sure there is a direct correlation between me not being swayed and me not having money... but still , even in terms of small time buys, I don't really consider myself to be that susceptible. When I see a Burger King commercial, it doesn't make me run right out and get a cheeseburger.

I dunno, I just got finished watching "They Live" for the first time and it's been a subject that has crossed my mind numerous times.

P.S. I know TB makes its money off banner ads (in addition to supporting members) so, feeling bad, I just clicked the banner ad above me as I'm typing this.

On occasion if it's something I want to check out. Worst case scenario, I lose a few seconds of my life.

+1 I hardly ever buy into stuff, or even look for that matter.

I too am curious to those people who actually click on those things.

But, I may just click on one I see right now

We could find out who.

I managed to meet quite a few gay christian singles thanks to the ads on this very site.

I prefer gay christian economy packs for the cost savings.

The idea of the advertizing isn't to necessarily get you to immediately purchase the products but to give to create/maintain brand familiarity, so that it'll be a brand you recognize and trust (so the logic goes) when you see it in the future.

Dude, I love that movie. The bubble game line is awesome. The alley fight is ultra-cheesy, but still cool.
