It differs from a Policeman's arrest, as such, you do not have to read a formal caution etc etc.
However, it leads into a legal grey area, especially for the police. A citizen's arrest, especially one on less than firm and undisputable ground, can often end in the person who performs it being arrested and charged or cautioned for a number of offences against the person. |
