How would you pronounce the last name "Baise"?

So I have to make a phone call to the volleyball coach at Harvard, Brian Baise

http://www.gocrimson.com/ViewArticle...ATCLID=1480955

but I'm not sure how to pronounce his las name. I've been talking to him through Email so it hasn't been an issue yet, but now that I have to call him I don't want to mispronounce his name.

I've been leaning towards saying it like "bays" but "base" would seem to be more phonetic. Anyone KNOW how to pronounce it?
