Couple years back (with my ex)...

Her ex kept harassing her, he even broke into her house (well, her folks house), when they were all there. He was giving her hassle one night when we were out having a couple drinks, and, to put it nicely. I lost it. Shall just leave it with "I gave him something to cry about".

me?
well it depends id ask him if he was sure about what he said and just punch him while hes saying "yes i am".

if he says otherwise, just tell him not to do it again, a few "bad words" here and there, and that ill kick his arse next time he does it.

People are dumb, unless it was a physical insult (assault) or the person wouldn't get the hint they can't really egg me on, I would beat the urine out of them.

As someone who is searching for the correct medication to control depression, and who has in the past been known to get very aggressive, I just don't see it ending well for anyone.

Now, depending on the mood I was in beforehand, I may just insult the offender to the point of him/her leaving. It sucks to be on a roller coaster all the time

this guy chickened out when i challenged him to fight me today because he insulted my girlfriend, i really wish he hadnt >.>.
the thing is i was in school and i do not want to get into any trouble in school, honor role ceremony is coming up and i do not want suspension to ruin my chances of getting that.

i really dont mind people making fun of me, but any mom/sister/girlfriend insults are a nono.

I'd laugh at them and walk away.

anyone who really takes offense to the point of fighting has some serious issues.

one of the main reasons i started this thread was to see if other people believe in knocking the guy out.
if it was your wife you even have more reason to kick the guys ***.

Constructive criticism is one thing and I'll listen to some of it directed at me or my friends, family and loved ones, but genuine insults aren't tolerated. I tell people to quit and if they don't I just leave. Violence is reserved for special occasions.

My drug addicted next door neighbor once told me I should act like a man and hit my wife to get her to shut up. When he told me he would take care of her himself if I didn't is when I hit him. The idiot moved away a few days later.

Sometimes violence is the answer.

Time for you to grow up soon...

"He/she insulted my girlfriend/wife/mom/boyfriend" does not play well in court when you have been charged with assault. Not to mention that you'd probably get your ass beat down in the first place if not outright shot/knifed/bludgeoned to death.

Don't get me wrong... I empathize with your "manly" need to kick the crap out of the insulter but the reality of the world dictates that you be even manlier and use your brain to guide the situation to a peaceful resolution if at all possible.

Comfort/support your girlfriend if she is directly insulted while you are there and walk away with her in your arm.

If this is just a case of some dork saying something insulting about your gal while she is not there... shake your head, walk away, forget about it, do NOT say anything of it to your girl. It is always best to ignore the ignorant.

Mine works out every day. She grew up with older brothers and can fight like hell. That's why we have a very peaceful marriage. I never mess with her I tried to throw her in the pool a few years ago and ended up with a broken thumb
