Howard Stern named judge on 'America's Got Talent' - Yahoo! News
Howard Stern, the only DJ besides Jim Steal, the late night guy on WDIZ Orlando in 1980, to play my stuff on the radio, is replacing Piers Morgan on "America's Got Talent." They are moving to New York to accomodate him, and he starts in February.
He promises a no-nonsense but fair judging. He says he doesn't want to hurt kids' feelings, but he's going to call their mothers out and tell them that he's going to tell them if their kids can't cut it because he takes his new gig seriously.
I can't wait to see it. Howard may be known for swearing and feeling up strippers, but he promises to make it all about the talent on "America's Got Talent." And after the dismal performances of all these crap lightweight non-judges like Steven Tyler, J-Lo, and Paula Abdul, it'll be good to see someone like Howard telling it like it is.

All these knee jerk reactions from middle aged women threatening to stop watching the show...LOL. I doubt they really know what he is about. It's not like he's going to go crazy and whip out a giant dildo and wave it around at the crowd or something.

You don't last 25 years at the top of the industry and cause millions of people to start paying to hear your radio show when they used to get you for free if you have no talent.

I just don't care for the guy. To me being a "shock jock" isn't the same as having talent. Ok fine, could I do it? No, so he's good at what he does but I just don't feel like the word talent is the right one to use.

If you don't care for him then that's one thing, but don't say the guy has no talent. He's very, very good for what he does. |

You would know that if you did.
You don't get make over a BILLION dollars by not having talent. He could not be on the air for 32 years without it!

| I have a problem with people who have no talent thinking they have talent and then trying to show off said talent (or lack thereof) on national television. I can't stand these shows.

The one I hope he incorporates into America's Got Talent more than any other is the trap door, though I must admit the rack of McDonald's uniforms idea was pretty funny, too.

The amount of money someone has is not always equal to their talent, that's all I was saying. We can all list off athletes and musicians with millions of dollars who are not quite up to par for their trade. No attack on Mr. Stern from me, call off your dogs.

-Mike | He has 5 million loyal followers pay for satellite radio when he first signed, last time I checked. So at least 5 milion think he does. That's talent in some way or another. Maybe not up to your high standards, whatever those may be.
