In the past week or so headline videos have been the race car smash up, a 4 year old girl getting run over 2X in china, and today footage of gaddafi getting murdered. And yeah, I unfortunately happen to have the car wreck mentality that makes me have to look, but I really think this stuff is getting way out of hand. What used to be seen only on the hardcore gore websites is now becoming front page news. While a pair of breasts is still unheard of. We live on an incredibly, incredibly sick planet. Sorry to inform you all.

People are getting desensitized to this stuff. Reminds me of the public stonings and such of old days that we were calling barbaric not even a decade ago. Yeah, rant over.

Gore and death has never really bothered me, but I don't seek it out. I'd rather see the trend pushing toward nudity instead of gore and death though. Speaking of nudity Joe, I added some geddy lee jazz pups into the boob bass. She sounds good.

"I don't want anyone to throw any more stones until I blow this whistle... even if they do say Jehova!" *WHAM!*

Sorry. Random Monty Python flashback.

I still find it hilarious that displaying physical brutality against our fellow humans is becoming more and more permissible in the mainstream media, while displaying sexually suggestive images, or even nudity in a non-sexually suggestive context, continues to be taboo. Parents will rage much more strongly over a nipple slip than footage of actual death and carnage. I mean, do we have our priorities backward or what?

I agree, although "hilarious" is not the word I would use to describe it.

Desensitization ain't so bad. It comes in handy when you have to clean up suicide gore out of your carport.

More nudity would be nice, though. I know I've asked this before in other threads; but why is it in movies, a guy's fully exposed shlong gets an R rating and a bunch of laughs, but showing female genitalia would rate it as porn and be considered inappropriate?

American Puritanicalism (which probably isn't a word). Makes no sense I've often wondered it myself.

not sure who I laugh at more...the person with no life wanting more of the blood and guts
or the person with no chance of a date wanting porn...What a sad society.

I became desensitized years ago. The incident in China angers me, but I'm just not surprised anymore. I can watch anything without flinching or blinking.
