Hurricane Bill about to Hit

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Guys, Hurricane Bill is about to hit Nova Scotia in a few hours here and things might be getting a bit wet here over the next 24 hours! I dont think its going to be as bad as some fear but after Hurricane Juan a few years ago everyone is taking no chances. Looks like high winds and a lot of rain will hit, sucks I still have to work tomorrow...I work at a casino and security still has to be there so i'll be driving through it! And our casino is right on the waterfront so i'll be front row center for storm surge.

Hurricanes suck. I went without power for two weeks during last year's Hurricane Ike.

Good luck and stay safe.

We dont get a whole lot of hurricanes up this far but when we do they are pretty harsh. Hurricane Juan in 2003 was real bad, only a Category 2 but did some real damage. No power for a while, thousands of trees ripped up, roads ripped up too. This one is supposed to be real windy and rainy but I dont think its supposed to be as bad as Jaun was. Still should be fun, i'll keep you posted as long as I have power. So far the worst is supposed to bypass us but you dont really know until it happens what the storm will do.

Down here in miami we get a few hurricanes a year, but we have been lucky so far.

Still nothing yet, its pretty calm now...well calm before the storm I assume is what it is. Its just really cloudy, hot and humid...its going to be real moist and windy tomorrow...

I'm glad we don't get hurricanes/typhoons out here. Wildfires suck hard though.

The rain has really started now, winds have been gusting but not nearly what they will be in about an hour or so. I have to go to my job along the waterfront in about an hour too....this should be fun!
