Finally got an interview yesterday after a year of unemployment and close to four months without a callback.
Hopefully I get the job, it's an administrative job for a bottled water company that requires travel to China a few times a year and pays salary that breaks out to roughly $25/hour.
Was interviewed by a head hunter who was so impressed with me she said that even if I don't get this job, she'd damn sure find me another.

I need to brush up on my Chinese in general (they want me because of my translation experience), but certain contractual terms and scientific jargon in specific.
Or if anybody knows where I can find me a Waimao Cidian (外贸词典), let me know?
Danke.

Generally, though, it's Huzzah, Yay, or Yarr.

I have to translate a bunch of old contracts from Chinese to English beforehand, but the word is, it's between me and a Chinese American girl, and the company would rather have a white guy to act as the guy "who most likely doesn't speak Chinese" in order to be the honesty gauge in contract negotiations.
I'm so excited, they're s'posed to be making the decision Friday afternoon.
Wish me luck!
